The new nets - an image archive
2006 saw us gain a grant from Albury City Council, and together with funds carefully hoarded by Treasurer-for-Life "Trout" Salmon, construction of new state of the art training nets was commenced.
A wire cyclone fence encloses 4 concrete pitches with high quality synthetic grass, and retractable nets at the southern end. On this page you can see the genesis of the facility, and more pictures will be added along the way.
At the time of writing (15/10/06), the area has been turfed, and all that remains is the installation of an irrigation system and the laying of the synthetic grass. The pitches should be covered by October 18th, and training will be transferred to the new facility soon afterwards.
Well done particularly to Phil "Oy" Star, who has done most of the organising, measuring, construction, worrying, cajoling, contracting and drinking.
